How do I Send a Gift on Loop & Tie?

Here's how to get started with gifting from the Loop & Tie marketplace

1. Click 'Send a Gift'

Whether you're on the Loop & Tie homepage at loopandtie.com or logged into your Loop & Tie dashboard, a 'Send a Gift' button can be found on the top right corner of your screen

2. Pick the collection you want to send. 

Click the drop-down to select your collection. This selection is budget based, but there are always options for themed collections at various price points. 

Tip: If your gift recipients are located outside of the U.S., you must choose an 'International' collection in order for the recipient to be able to redeem their gift.

FAQ: What's a collection?

A collection is a curated selection of products based on your budget & theme. When you gift with Loop & Tie, your recipients will be able to choose any gift within the collection you send. Each curated gift collection on Loop & Tie is inclusive of shipping and fees - so you pay what you see. Don't worry - your recipient never sees the budget you selected. They just see the items in the collection! 

Once you've chosen your collection, click 'Next' in the top right corner. 

3. Customize your logo

We love our logo, but you may want to swap it for yours at the top of your gift email 😉

First, click "Change Logo" on the top right corner of the email preview. Then, upload your logo from your computer.

    FAQ: No logo? No worries!

    If you don't have a logo or don't want to use one, no worries; the Loop & Tie logo will remain in its place.

    Tip: Only logged-in users can change the email logo. If you're not seeing the 'Change Logo' button, no sweat: you can sign up for a free Loop & Tie account here. 

    3. Customize your card

    Under your logo, you have the opportunity to include a custom card image with your gift message. There are plenty of pre-loaded options for you to choose from (including GIFs!), but you can also upload something totally bespoke. 

    If you'd like to use a pre-loaded design, simply scroll down the page to view your options and click on the one you'd like to use. You can also choose the GIPHY tab to add a GIF in its place. 

    If you'd like to add your own design, click on the 'Upload' tab, choose a file from your computer, and click the 'Add Design' button to finish up.

    Once your image is all set, you'll need to add a gift message and signature to your email. You can do so by simply typing in the grey boxes underneath the gift message image header. 

    Tip: The Loop & Tie system won't allow you to advance without both a message and signature in place. 

    Once your logo, image, and message are in place, click 'Next' in the top right corner.

    4. Enter recipient's info. 

    Here's the best part: you can send the same gift collection to 1 or 10,000 people, all in one go. AND you can schedule gifts!  Here's how: 

    1. Enter recipient's name. 
    2. Enter recipient's email address. 
    3. Select the date you want the gift email to be sent (it defaults to today's date & time). 
    4. If you want to manually add additional recipients: Click "Add Recipient" 
    5. If you want to add multiple recipients at once: Click "Import Recipients." You'll be directed to a downloadable .csv template for bulk recipient uploads. 
    6. If you want to shorten the time between when your gift is sent and when it expires, click "Gift Expiration" and choose a number of months. If you don't change the expiration timeline, this will default to one year.

    When your recipients are in, click 'Next' in the top right corner.

    5. Review 

    You have the ability to preview what your email & redemption page will look like to your recipient.

    1. Click "Preview Redemption" to see what it will look like when your recipient gets to pick their gift. This opens up in a new window.
    2. Click "Preview Email" see what the email card will look like in their inbox. This opens up in a new window.

    When you're sure everything looks right, click 'Next' in the top right corner.

    6. Add Payment

    Tip: If you're not already logged into your Loop & Tie account, you'll be prompted to log in or create one before proceeding with payment. 

    If you already have credit in your account, your gift will be deducted from that balance. If you don't have credit in your account, the fastest way to send gifts is to add credit via a credit card! 

    Under 'Your Payment Method,' click 'Add Payment Method.' This will prompt you to enter your credit card information like any other online checkout. 

    Tip: When you pay through Loop & Tie, you pay through Stripe, one of the most common and most secure payment gateways available on the web. You never have to worry about your credit card information being compromised through Loop & Tie!

    FAQ: It didn't show me a confirmation page?! Did it go through?! 

    Once your gifts have been sent/scheduled, you'll be taken back to your Loop & Tie Dashboard. You should receive a small green notification at the top of your screen letting you know you're all set; everything is good! 

    FAQ: What If I want to be invoiced? 

    Invoicing is only available to enterprise Loop & Tie accounts. If you are set up as an invoice account, you can request an invoice from your Loop & Tie dashboard.
